Bollók began to create short and independent films in the late 1980s. In 1994 he graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Film Art in Budapest. He also studied film in the US, and made several short films for the legendary Béla Balázs Studio. His feature film debut was in 1999 with the film From North to North (Észak, ézsak). His film Iszka's Journey (Iszka utazása, 2007), which premiered at the Berlinale festival, was shown at over seventy film festivals throughout the world, meeting with huge international success.

FINÁLE EDITION

In 2011 Festival Finále in cooperation with Jan and Ivana Lukeš published already the fifth book of the Finále Edition. It has been dedicated to Vlasta Chramostová and Stanislav Milota.
