A film shot over time, mapping a five-year period in the life of three married couples who cannot také a standard approach to bringing up their children. In each family, someone is handicapped. In the first the mother is in a wheelchair, in the second both parents are deaf. Each family is dealing with specific problems, but they have one common feature: all the children born to the couples are welcome and loved.
