The festival provides FREE access to film screenings for the wheelchair bound and their attendants every year.
Not only Finale wants to be a competition of Czech films, but also a possibility to bring the production of Czech film makers to viewers with a limited possibility of movement. For the seventh time the project called “Open Cinema” will take place in several festival screening halls.

23rd festival Finále congratulates filmmakers of awarded films. The main award Golden Kingfisher for the best feature film won Kawasaki´s Rose directed by Jan Hřebejk. In the category of documentary films, Land od Destiny directed by Pavel Kolaja won the main award. The complete list of awarded films is available here.
A great attention was given to the Czech underground this year. Documents, films and discussions intermingled with other events, such as the readings, exhibitions and concerts of leading Czech underground bands.
