The selection committee headed by dr. Stanislav Zvoníček recommended 7 Czech and 1 Slovak film for the competition. Films were screened in alphabetical order from End of a Priest to The Joke. Juraj Herz’s film The Cremator was screened out of competition in Eden cinema.

/“innovative work connected with sources of the national culture“/
