The Main Award „Golden Kingfisher“ /made as a jewel/ was awarded to a film The Elementary School, director: Jan Svěrák
From jury’s statement: „... for a very successful film expression of humane thought and an optimistic life feeling...”
Furthermore, the jury decided unanimously, that the artwork of Jan Němec´s film In the Light of the King's Love, made by the artist Michael Rittstein, deserves a special acknowledgement.
